I remember talking about this popping artifact a long while ago with one of the devs. The problem is not the sound itself, but it seems that everytime you scroll, if the sound is still playing it gets paused and then played again. The action of pausing the sound seems to cause popping. The conversation about this is probably somewhere on Invent, but I really don't remember where. I'm pretty sure it was deemed an issue hard to fix because if you just let the feedback sound play without interrupting the previous stream it can create problems with long sounds on custom sound themes and possibly overwhelm the system with multiple streams. My original workaround was to add a tiny empty space at the beginning of the sound, but that obviously added some delay to the feedback sound and wasn't considered a good solution. Unfortunately I don't think there's anything else I can do on the sound theme side. Any solution would have to come from changing how sounds get played. I'll keep the issue open just in case some dev wants to chime in. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
