I am having pretty large issues with this on my trackball. On Mac, using the
Logitech software, due to what I suspect is a pretty aggressive profile, I have
no issues with fine movements. Under kde Wayland I have large issues, since my
trackball - despite being clean - always have a small jolt of movement just in
the beginning. This makes small corrective movements really hard, like
precisely selecting text.

This is an issue across different brands, I have a Logitech MX Ergo and an
elecom huge. I might also have some finger dexterity issues, but given this was
never an issue on Mac I don't think so. 

If anyone feels like this is something they want to work on, I can send over
(as a gift, not a loan) a trackball (like the logitech m575 or elecom wired
huge) to have something that is not as forgiving as a regular mouse to test
with.
