It worked out that actually everything works in Plasma 6.4/6.5. but not with my
NVIDIA driver. But I got it also working now. I just had to add
"nvidia-drm.modeset=1" to /etc/default/grub as follows:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="...other parameters... nvidia-drm.modeset=1"

…and updated grub afterwards. Now the resume always works!
