Summary: Bypassing compositor incorrectly affects other windows
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
      Version First 6.4.3
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: compositing
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Possibly a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361091. I'm not
sure.

Running an app that bypasses the compositor seems to break something with how
other apps interact with compositing

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In settings, disable Display and Monitor > Compositor > Allow Applications
to block compositing
2. Run an app such as Firefox
3. run mpv --x11-bypass-compositor=yes path/to/video.mp4

OBSERVED RESULT
Firefox windows have a thick black border around the window for the duration of
the video. Other apps with transparent backgrounds lose their transparent
background.

EXPECTED RESULT
Other windows are not affected - only mpv.
