Chiming in because this affects not just removable drives, but also internal
ones (that aren't mounted on system startup). I recently installed Kubuntu and
was happy to find that I could just click my NTFS SSD in Dolphin, getting to
all my files without having to manually configure mounting... Only to find that
after a reboot, Dolphin *tries* to automatically browse to the drive but fails.

Easy to solve by configuring the OS the mount the drive on boot, I know, but it
would be nice (especially for non-technical users) if that weren't necessary.
