            Bug ID: 513123
Summary: split view changes wrong side for back, up and close
button. Terminal window follows wrong side.
    Classification: Applications
           Product: dolphin
      Version First 25.08.3
       Reported In:
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: split view
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

Since a few months the two sides of a split-view behave almost at random: the
wrong side changes "up" or "back", sometimes even in turns, when button is
clicked multiple times.
Also the associated terminal window (F4) changes into the wrong directory.
This seems to happen (particularly?) when switching back from a different tab.

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open Dolphin, create more than one tab, split view, (remember side)
2. switch to other tab, then switch back, notice active directory
3. switch to other tab again, then switch back again, notice active directory
4. press UP-button twice

OBSERVED RESULT
cwd alternates between right and left view
when pushing "UP" for the first time the wrong (i.e. previously unselected)
view moves up
when pushing it a second (and subsequent) times the other window moves up

EXPECTED RESULT
side of view should not change while changing tabs
pushing "UP" multiple times it should always act on the same view
