I put "Hidden=true" in some .desktop files I copied from
/usr/share/applications to ~/.local/share/applications.
Used update-desktop-database in local applications. However, the application
launcher is still showing them in the menu.
One workaround is to remove them from the menu using the menu editor, but if
you search for the app it still appears, whereas it should have vanished
completely.
