[krita] [Bug 512694] The new version of krita 5.3.0-prealpha frame drops and lagging, especially when selecting right-click menus, and it also lagging while drawing. The previous 5.2 version was much smoother.

I assume by "recent selection tool update" you are referring to selection
action bar? Does it still lag if you disable it in Configure Krita -> General
-> Tools -> Selection Action Bar?
