SUMMARY
Accepting one suggested recognized face makes the face recognition process
start and go through all pictures for HOURS(!!!) making it impossible to accept
more recoginized faces for HOURS! I have a few TB of pictures and 8.8.0 becomes
unusable due to this bug. Accepting one recognized face shouldn't trigger a
process that locks functionality in DigiKam for HOURS.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. accept one or several suggested recognized faces
2. see the face recognition process start
3. see DigiKam becoming slow and unresponsive for hours, making it impossible
to accept any more suggested face recognitions, and making it impossible to tag
any new faces in new photos too.

OBSERVED RESULT
See DigiKam becoming slow and unresponsive for hours, making it impossible to
accept any more suggested face recognitions, and making it impossible to tag
any new faces in new photos too.

EXPECTED RESULT
Just tag a face with the correct name, save to DB and to file, and do nothing
more.
Not start a hours long full face recognition process after accepting one
suggestion, just do nothing.
Only accepting the faces and not locking up DigiKam for hours.
Only run a full scan of face recognition on demand.
Not locking up DigiKam.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 11 pro 25H2 26200.7462

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Please release a 8.8.1 quickly that restores the face recognition part to
normal.
You should also do more testing before releasing important software that is
central to people's precious photo collections.
