SUMMARY
After the latest version of the plasma stable release, and logging with a
Wayland session, the whole desktop is rendered inoperable with no possibility
of launching any applications. When clicking the application, an error messages
pops out pointing that some 'unit file' does not exists.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Download and install the latest plasma version on Arch based systems
2. Log into a Wayland session
3. After a few minutes, trying to open any application or folder on both the
taskbar or desktop fails with an error. Ex: "Unit
app-brave\[email protected] not found."
OBSERVED RESULT
After a few minutes and some programs opened, I can no longer open any
application on the taskbar, app menu, or desktop. With frustration the desktop
experience is rendered useless, as I can no longer operate the desktop.
However, running programs from previous opened konsole session works, and
clicking the '+' icon on folders still allows some interaction with the desktop
folders, but no signs of 'dolphin' or even launching commands with the app menu
reliably working.
EXPECTED RESULT
The desktop should open the programs with no errors, allowing the user to
interact with the machine and applications.
