issues in tiling window managers

SUMMARY
Kdenlive's welcome/splash screen is not fixed size or have a min/max size,
which makes it not being seen as a floating window in wayland tiling
compositors (Sway, niri, hyprland and generally tilers on wayland check if the
window is fixed size to determine if they should auto-float it).
On the other hand the welcome/splash obviously has a fixed size since it does
not resize, and leaves emptiness in the tile that it occupies. This also means
that I can't hardcode a window rule to float it, since that will just give it a
monitor-large chunk that it will only take the middle part of.
Would this be considered to be fixed? Or not (since using fixed size to
indicate floating is not technically an actual wayland standard)?
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open kdenlive in a wayland tiler
2. Look at the welcome/splash screen
OBSERVED RESULT
It floats
EXPECTED RESULT
It does not
