Comparison of Overview / Grid View between Plasma 5.27 and Plasma 6.5
Since KDE Plasma 6, the Overview (Grid View) effect displays windows extremely
small
inside virtual desktops, leaving large unused margins around them.
In KDE Plasma 5.27, the Desktop Grid effect used most of the available space,
making windows clearly readable. In Plasma 6, the same view prioritizes
background visibility instead of window content, which severely reduces
usability,
especially on small or laptop screens (most of the screen
space is wasted on background and margins instead of window previews)
This is a clear usability regression compared to Plasma 5.27,
I have attached screenshots comparing Plasma 5.27 and Plasma 6.5
showing the difference.
