spectacle backtrace

SUMMARY
If I am mining crypto using xmrig on my GPU, Spectacle crashes on startup.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. start xmrig and have it use the gpu to mine crypto
2. start spectacle

OBSERVED RESULT
spectacle crashes

EXPECTED RESULT
spectacle should cleanly handle the lack of video memory and at the very least
post a message about insufficient VRAM, instead of crashing.
