[…] Turns out: There is a KWin option affecting this behavior: System Settings / Window Management / Window Behavior / Tab “Focus” / Multiscreen Behavior: 🗹 Separate screen focus. When this option is turned on (which is actually the default), the behavior I described disappears. So, when closing Yakuake, focus stays on the screen where Yakuake was closed.
