SUMMARY
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. create a new printer with ldp backend including a user (eg.
lpd://[email protected]/MyPrinter
2. test the printer : it works
3. show it in system settings: the user is not shown (eg.
lpd://10.0.0.22/MyPrinter)
Notice that the connection is indeed including the user (as it works and the
printing is available fir the user on the network printer with a badge). But it
is not shown...
OBSERVED RESULT
user does not appear in the connection string
EXPECTED RESULT
user does appear in the connection string
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Tuxedo OS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.19.0
Qt Version: 6.9.2
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
'lpstat -v' does not show the user either.
But looking into '/etc/cups/printers.conf', DeviceURI does indeed show it
