I think I'm hitting this bug as well. I usually do package management via
Debian's CLI tools (apt / aptitude), so I don't pay much attention to Discover,
but for a long time I've been noticing that Discover has been reporting errors.
I checked today, and the error is:

E: http://deb.debian.org/debian unstable InRelease is not (yet) available
(Unable to connect to localhost:1234:)
E: http://security.debian.org/debian-security bookworm-security InRelease is
not (yet) available (Unable to connect to localhost:1234:)

My KDE system proxy settings were set to manual, although no proxy was
specified. I set it to no proxy, but the problem remains.

I have no idea where Discover is getting 'localhost:1234' from.
