I have this problem too on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, with nvidia-vaapi-driver.
However for me `LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME="" spectacle` just makes Spectacle crash as
soon as it tries to record video:

libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib64/dri/_drv_video.so
libva info: va_openDriver() returns -1
