Oh, I missed this one and only replied to a duplicate. To repeat the
information there: yes, this is just how Android works. The line jitter or jags
just what the unprocessed input looks like, which you get when you set the
brush smoothing to "None".

The "Basic" smoothing option is what mitigates this. Other programs do this as
well, but it's either always enabled or it's some setting somewhere in their
input preferences, rather than conflating it with smoothing or stabilization.
