Bug ID: 515296
Summary: When panel auto-hides while a widget is open, then
widget does not reappear
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First 6.5.5
Reported In:
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Panel
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
SUMMARY
My panel is set to Auto-hide. When opening a panel widget (e.g. system tray
Audio Volume, Networks, Plasma Launcher menu etc.) and then clicking on an open
Window (e.g. Konsole) without closing the system tray widget, the panel
auto-hides. Subsequently, when hovering the mouse at the bottom, the panel
reappears normally, however clicking on the widget does not make the widget
dialog reappear (but the close popup arrow moves, a blue bar appears as if it
were open).
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set Panel on auto-hide
2. Open a window (e.g Konsole)
3. Make panel appear, and open a system tray (e.g. Audio Volume)
4. Without closing Audio Volume, click on the Konsole in desktop background.
Panel auto-hides
5. Make panel appear again and click on Audio Volume in System Tray, it does
not appear.
OBSERVED RESULT
I observed this 100% with system tray widgets, and sometimes with Launcher (but
cannot reproduce it 100%).
EXPECTED RESULT
Widget dialogs should reappear even after being auto-hidden with Panel.
