Screen shot of befor paint dumper used.
SUMMARY
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Draw a thick line at a 45 degree angle using a color such as red
2. Select a different color such as blue
3. Use the paint dumper to attempt to change the color of the line
OBSERVED RESULT
When the paint dumper is used to fill the existing line it dose not completely
recolor the line. Around the edges of the line there is visible dithering of
the original color.
EXPECTED RESULT
I would expect that result would completely recolor the whole drawn line and
not leave pixels around the border of the line the original color in the result
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
:~$ kinfo
Operating System: Kubuntu 24.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.12
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.115.0
Qt Version: 5.15.13
Kernel Version: 6.18.7-surface-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: offscreen
Processors: 20 × 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-13700H
Memory: 62.6 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I think there are 2 things that would be helpful in solving this issue.
1) Add/expose a setting that allows the user to toggle if they want dithering
on or off when creating shapes.
2) Add an optional color tolerance threshold when using tools like the paint
dumper allowing replacement of colors that are similar but not exactly the
same. This would need to have an exposed option in the UI for adjusting this
threshold.
