STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Deactivate Recent Files/Folders in System Settings > Recent Files.
2. Open Gwenview and Kate (from KDE).
OBSERVED RESULT
They are still storing your recent files/folders.
EXPECTED RESULT
They are KDE apps, so they should, as expected; obey KDE Plasma's System
Settings.
