--- Comment #9 from [email protected] --- On the latest stable kwin version (6.5.5-3.1 cachyos package), the issue still only happens with direct scanout enabled and on the lastest kernel. LTS kernel does not have this issue. New way I can reproduce the bug: 1. [With my triple monitor setup...] Have no windows at all opened. 2. With your cursor on the main screen (the center screen in my setup), turn off screens. 3. Wait for all monitors to go into power saving mode. 4. Turn screens back on via shaking mouse. 5. Move cursor to either secondary monitors. Once the cursor reaches either screen, they'll turn black, and reappear after. Alternative steps : 1. [With my triple monitor setup...] Have a window openened on the main monitor. 2. With your cursor on the main screen (the center screen in my setup), turn off screens. 3. Wait for all monitors to go into power saving mode. 4. Turn screens back on via shaking mouse. 5. Minimize the window on the main monitor. The screens will turn black on minimization of the window, and reappear after. I attached three more drm_info logs : 1. Directly after booting a fresh plasma session. 2. After having turned the screens off and back on, but BEFORE moving my cursor to either screen (so, before the bug having had happened). 3. After having turned the screens back on, and AFTER having had the bug happen. The logs were taken with the terminal window opened, because minimizing it to take the info would cause the bug to happen. Hopefully this can help diagnose where the issue is coming from. Side note : the LTS kernel does not exhibit the bug reported in bug 513277, while also not exhibiting this bug. Could the fix for bug 513277 fix this issue as well? Seems to be a common denominator. I haven't tested the fix for bug 513277. Will do when 6.6 releases. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
