Ray <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #1 from Ray <[email protected]> --- Additional confirmation + possible duplicates I can reproduce this issue reliably. Environment: Fedora KDE 43 (also reproducible on KDE Neon) KMail 6.6.2 (KDE Gear 25.12.2) Plasma 6.6.x, Qt 6.10.x IMAP account with classic username/password authentication (tested with web.de) No OAuth / no XOAUTH2 involved Behavior: The account wizard completes without any visible error. The IMAP account/resource is created, but it is not functional afterwards (no connection, no folders, effectively unusable). Relevant log output: qt.dbus.integration: QDBusConnection: couldn't handle call to setPassword, no slot matched qt.dbus.integration: Could not find slot SettingsAdaptor::setPassword This suggests that the password is not stored correctly, so the IMAP resource starts without credentials and fails silently. The UI does not show a meaningful error. Notes / possible duplicates: This looks closely related to: Bug 512200 (“kmail failed to create IMAP”) Possibly older IMAP/account-creation issues like Bug 411147, although that one predates the current Qt6 / KDE Gear 25.12 stack and may not be the same root cause. Given that this is reproducible on multiple distributions (Fedora KDE and KDE Neon), this appears to be an upstream regression in KDE Gear 25.12.x. Please let me know if further logs or testing are required. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
