The files not being able to be transferred is due to file naming limitations on Android. The user experience, however, could be improved as you suggest. I tested the behavior on current versions of Plasma and Dolphin: Plasma 6.5.5 / Dolphin 25.12.2 - The file transfer notification appears. There is a message on the Android device that the transfer failed. The Plasma notification persists on the screen with the progress bar at 0%. The user must click Cancel to dismiss it. git-master - The file transfer notification appears. There is a message on the Android device that the transfer failed. The Plasma notification says "Sending to devicename (Finished)" and is automatically dismissed after a timeout. This is arguably worse, because it falsely says the transfer finished, when it failed. We definitely could, at the least, surface an error to the notification.
