            Bug ID: 515794
Summary: New Screenshot droplist and Delay in fullscreen
overlay is useless because of the default "Take
                    rectangular screenshot" at launch setting
    Classification: Applications
           Product: Spectacle
      Version First 6.5.5
       Reported In:
          Platform: Manjaro
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: General
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

By default, the latest Spectacle is set to "Take rectangular screenshot" at
launch. This causes Spectacle to launch without displaying the main window but
a full screen overlay with toolbars.

However, in this mode, Spectacle greys out the whole screen all the time and
ask the user to "Click and Drag to Create a Selection". Although options are
presented in the toolbars that are supposed to add delay and change screenshot
method, they either have no effect, or have confusing/chaotic/inconsistent
behavior for some reason.

The most notable problem being the overlay interferes with Screenshot at Delay,
as now I cannot navigate the target application within the coundtdown. In such
situation, I must either take a screenshot first to make the main window show
up, where the options are working as intended, or I have to change the launch
behavior to "Do not take a screenshort automatically" to prevent the fullscreen
overlay from takeing over.

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Configure Spectacle -> When launching Spectacle -> Take rectangular
screenshot (default)
2. Close Spectacle
3. Launch Spectacle -> Fullscreen overlay
4. Change Delay in Options droplist, or/and switch to Active Window in New
Screenshot droplist

OBSERVED RESULT
1. Cannot navigate other application during the screenshot delay countdown
time.
2. After switching mode to Active Window in the New Screenshot droplist, it
automatically triggers a new rectangular area screenshot capture. Press the
button again, the "Click and Drag to make a Selection" overlay won't go away.
3. The actual screenshot behavior in this situation becomes unpredictable.

EXPECTED RESULT
The options/droplists on "Click and Drag to make a Selection" overlay behave
like Spectacle's main window.
