I guess since this is an intentional design decision, the filter would resolve the issue for me **personally**. Unfortunately this is only because I know about the filter. I'm still concerned about the possibility of a casual Krita user leaking private information online, but since I don't have any ideas for a better user interface I won't complain about the one we've got now.
