Before that, i was using a "built from source" installation and it already had the fix, so i waited for the official package manager (pacman) to sync. Arch is quite fast with the updates. So, if you are on a cutting edge distro (like ARCH), you probably already have the fix. If you are on a "stable" release, i suggest, if you can do it, remove the kdeconnect installed by your own package manager, then build from source like me and install that. You can learn how to do this via a LLM (like chatgpt).
