            Bug ID: 516337
Summary: Kate embedded terminal does not inherit paste shortcut
                    from Konsole profile
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kate
      Version First 25.12.2
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: application
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

The embedded terminal panel in Kate does not inherit keyboard shortcuts
configured in Konsole profiles. Ex: when the paste shortcut is set to Ctrl+V
in Konsole (via System Settings or the Konsole profile), the Kate terminal
plugin continues to use Ctrl+Shift+V for paste instead.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Konsole and set the paste shortcut to Ctrl+V in the keyboard profile
settings.
2. Open Kate and enable the terminal panel (View → Show Terminal).
3. Attempt to paste using Ctrl+V in the Kate terminal panel.

OBSERVED RESULT
Paste in the Kate terminal panel only works with Ctrl+Shift+V, ignoring the
Konsole profile setting.

EXPECTED RESULT
The Kate terminal panel should respect and inherit the shortcut configuration
set in the Konsole profile, so that paste works consistently with Ctrl+V.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma:
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.23.0
Qt Version: 6.10.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Consistency between the embedded terminal and standalone Konsole would improve
the user experience, especially for users who have customized their shortcuts.
