I've searched for similar issues on KDE help, to no avail.
SUMMARY
When flicking between apps whilst using Digikam, when I return to Digikam, my
albums have disappeared and i'm at the welcome screen for version 8.8. Might
happen after being unattended, or after sending an image to affinity photo,
editing and saving and going straight back to Digikam.
Shutting Digikam app, and restarting finds all the albums and images again.
Does not occur every time, perhaps 40-50% of the time, or more frequently after
the machine has been unattended for a while.
No error messages displayed.
Windows 11, AMD Ryzen 5000 series, NVIDIA geoforce RTX. Digikam version 8.8
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open digikam
2. Move to another app
3. return to digikam.
OBSERVED RESULT
No album tree, welcome screen is displayed.
EXPECTED RESULT
Should see the album tree.
