Summary: Low-quality beep played when Firefox "Find in page"
finds nothing
Classification: Plasma
Product: Ocean
Version First unspecified
Reported In:

OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED

Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
Firefox makes a weird low-quality crackling beep when I use the "Find in
page..." functionality and the searched text isn’t found on the page.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open any webpage on Firefox.
2. Press Ctrl+F and type some text that isn't found on the page.
OBSERVED RESULT
I could not find any KDE setting to shut it down while leaving all other sounds
enabled, but toggling the Firefox option
"accessibility.typeaheadfind.enablesound" does it.
EXPECTED RESULT
GNOME plays a good-quality beep sound, under the same conditions.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: openSUSE Tumbleweed
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.23.0
Qt Version: 6.10.2
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I'm using the Ocean sound theme, but switching to the Freedesktop theme doesn't
fix it. I don't know what else to try.
