            Bug ID: 516772
Summary: Location bar confusingly remains fish: when trying to
                    overwrite location
    Classification: Applications
           Product: dolphin
      Version First 22.12.3
       Reported In:
          Platform: Debian stable
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: bars: location

  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

When operating in a fish: directory, changing the location with ctrl-L stays
locked in "fish:", risking data loss

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Connect to a fish: URL
2. ctrl-L, the URL is auto-selected; enter "/tmp", hit enter
3. see that the result is still fish:host > tmp, instead of /tmp

Another path:

1. Connect to a fish: URL
2. ctrl-L, the URL is auto-selected; hit "delete" to remove URL
3. using drop-down, change to file:, overwrite file:/// with "/tmp", hit enter
3. see that the result is still fish:host > tmp, instead of /tmp

The difficulty here is that muscle memory of "ctrl-L then type the path" leads
a less attentive person to believe they are somewhere else. I recently lost a
great deal of important data this way.

At the least, when one overwrites fish://user@host at host with "/tmp", the
"fish:" should appear as it does when you delete everything on the line.
