SUMMARY
With the latest updates to KDE/Plasma, Dolphin now has a very noticeable launch
delay that happens randomly.
They delay is most likely to happen if Dolphin hasn't been recently opened.
This never happened in earlier versions.
I *suspect* it has something to do with automatically inspecting the "Places"
shortcuts, where I have many auto-mounted SMB shares. Even if I don't enter an
SMB share, they *all* get mounted, which shouldn't happen. They're only
supposed to be mounted if I access them. It seems that Dolphin forces them to
be accessed every time it's launch just because they are shortcuts in my
"Places" panel.
I could be mistaken. This new bug of a random delay of Dolphin at launch might
be from something else that was coded into the updated version.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Don't use Dolphin for 20 seconds or more.
2. Lunch Dolphin.
OBSERVED RESULT
Noticeable 2-3 seconds delay at launch.
EXPECTED RESULT
Dolphin should open instantly, just as it had with previous versions.
