Bug ID: 517062
Summary: Adding a large number of video files to Haruna by
selecting and right clicking in Dolphin causes immense
slow down
Classification: Applications
Product: Haruna
Version First 1.7.1
Reported In:
Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
When you select a large number of video files (80 or more) and add them to
Haruna by selecting them in Dolphin first and then right clicking and choosing
"Open With > Haruna" the program and computer slows down and lags immensely as
Haruna adds the video files to it's playlist one at a time.
(Note: This does NOT happen if you select the same number of files but manually
drag them into the Haruna window, in this case they are instantly added all at
once to the playlist without any lag whatsoever)
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select a large number of video files in Dolphin
2. Right click and select "Open With > Haruna"
OBSERVED RESULT
The computer/program lag immensely indicating that there is excessive CPU usage
to perform this task
EXPECTED RESULT
It should not lag at all and add all the files to the playlist instantly the
same way as when you manually select and drag the files into Haruna
