I compile KMM from source so Thomas gave me a way to revert the git changes (873ee771 for the master, 5f85e886 for the 5.2 branch) until I could remove the transactions that were causing the problem in my KMM file. I was not using a database file but my KMM file has been around for 20 years so it contained problematic transactions from over 10 years ago that were not caught back then. I eventually found and deleted the bad transactions and no longer have to revert the KMM changes. I mention this in case it will help you.
