Bug ID: 517306
Summary: No option to disable right-click execute.
Classification: Applications
Product: systemsettings
Version First 6.6.1
Reported In:
Platform: CachyOS
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Keywords: usability, wayland-only
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: kcm_mouse
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected], [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
Accidentally double-clicking the right-mouse button (due to too much coffee or
ADHD), will execute menu items as left-click.
I've accidently opened many pre-selected items or entire folders this way.
Because it happens so fast (~50 ms), I have no idea which context-menu option
was hovered at the time.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Visit your desktop (or file-manager if you're feeling *adventurous*).
2. While sliding your mouse from left to right, click the right mouse button
two or three times, really fast.
3.
OBSERVED RESULT
You will click and activate something.
EXPECTED RESULT
You must use left-click in order to activate a menu item.
Or a setting to enable such behavior.
