--- Comment #11 from DeKay <[email protected]> ---
I spent hours trying to get windows placed properly using kwin rules before
finding this bug report and learning that the Force Screen rule is broken on
Wayland. My use case is a Virtual Pinball machine using the Visual Pinball 10
(VPX) software version 10.8.1 (https://github.com/vpinball/vpinball). VPX uses
SDL3 to create three windows: one for the playfield, one for the backglass, and
one for the dot matrix display. Each window has a different name assigned to
it. I have three monitors connected and need to route each window to the
corrent monitor every time. Otherwise the displays are a jumbled mess.

What I do know is that kwin is able to identify each window properly from a
substring match on its name because I *can* get kwin to move the window to any
desired xy offset, and that offset can even be specified into a coordinate on
the second or third monitor. This works *every time* but unfortunately causes
other issues.

It would be huge for me if a dev could chime in on this. Hopefully, given that
kwin is able to move the window to a given xy that a move to a given screen is
doable.
