Screenshot of the UI of system onitor showing an error bar when the network is
disconnected
SUMMARY
If system monitor is started when the computer has no active network
connection, the stock Overview page is broken till it is restarted
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Unplug network cable and disconnect from any wifi
2. Open System monitor
3. Connect the ethernet cable/connect to wifi
OBSERVED RESULT
It still shows an big error on top of the screen.
EXPECTED RESULT
I expect the UI to realize that by connect to a wireless network, the sensors
that were missing are now available. The system monitor should also know that
network connectivity isn't guaranteed, so it should not show the error that
things are missing.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma:
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.23.0
Qt Version: 6.10.2
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This also happens the other way around, if the network connectivity is lost,
the area is no cleared. If the user switches from WLAN to Ethernet, the system
monitor keeps displaying (oudated) WLAN information
There should not be a error bar at the top of the screen for a condition that
is not an error condition, system monitor should not be designed for use only
when there is a network connection
