SUMMARY
First, these two task manager widgets have the ability to show preview of the
hovered app if it's running or the name and Generic name when it's not. This
preview has a hardcoded delay of 1 second.
The problem appears when hovering over an app and move the cursor left or right
to another app without leaving the widget, the preview experience becomes laggy
because sometimes it introduces that delay and sometimes it works fine without
any delay.
In the previous versions of plasma ( 6.5, 6.4, 6.3 ) for example, there was no
delay in between, so once we previewed one app we could move left and right to
other apps and instantly see their preview, or their name/generic-name.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use panel + task manager or icon only task manager
2. open 2 or more apps
3. hover over one of them, when preview shows keep hovering between them
OBSERVED RESULT
Inconsistent experience, moving between apps shows previews instantly at first
but then it cause delay and break the preview smoothness ( in my experience
it's unpredictable when it'll break, no condition or time ).
EXPECTED RESULT
Once the first preview shows, hovering between all other apps would instantly
show their preview and switching preview instantly works with no delay.
