Sometimes when i take a screenshot ( region or fullscreen ), if i am quick enough and paste the pic somewhere, it works, but if i am not quick enough ( a few seconds ), then pasting gives me an empty picture. On Signal, i get a 0B PNG file, despite me selecting JPG in Spectacle; on Discord, i get as if i uploaded a picture but it shows no picture, just an empty box. If i check under clipboard history on the systray, the clipboard is empty. The clipboard does show the picture when this bug doesn't happen, as expected. I noticed this tends to happen when i screenshot inside a videogame. My partner moved onto Linux for the first time recently, Manjaro KDE, and she has the same ( or similar ) issue. She didn't change anything in Spectacle. Personally, i tried to change from PNG to JPG and it seems like the bug happens less often now, so it could have to do with how heavy the picture is. Keep in mind i have two monitors, one 1080p, the other 2160p. I usually screenshot on the large one. My partner has two screens ( usually ), but both are 1080p. I noticed that even when i manage to paste the image, i always get a PNG, despite me selecting JPG or WEBP under settings. So the extension may only work for creating the image files, not clipboard? I truly think it happens when the image is too heavy.
