SUMMARY
I have two devices in two different HDMI ports on my monitor, if I turn on my
SO and, still on the login screen, change the monitor to show the other device,
when I go back the screen is all black and only my mouse is visible, the mouse
seems functional, nothing froze, but the screen is completely black and I have
to forcefully reboot.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have another device turned on and connected to the same monitor
2. Turn on your linux with KDE and wait until the login screen
3. Use your monitor menu to change the HDMI input to the other device
4. Change the HDMI input back to your linux with KDE

OBSERVED RESULT
Your screen is completely black with only your mouse showing

EXPECTED RESULT
The login screen should be visible
