Matthew <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #1 from Matthew <[email protected]> --- I believe this bug report is sufficiently similar to an issue I encountered for me contribute within this report. When an sftp network location is created within the Dolphin GUI, the user has been prompted to enter a password upon every visit to the network location every time the machine is booted, at least on prior (<6.5.5) versions of Plasma 6. If this password is entered incorrectly for any reason, the network location becomes permanently broken because a red "Authorization failed" banner appears and there is no opportunity anywhere to correct the erroneous credentials. The credentials are not found in KWallet or in the Edit Place dialog for the Network Location. This occurred to me most recently after upgrading to Plasma 6.5.5 and the "authorization failed" persisted across a reboot without the opportunity to re-enter credentials. Saving sftp credentials is a valuable feature with the right implementation, however the absent state of user-operated credential management for Dolphin SFTP network locations is causing the overall Dolphin SFTP "Network Location" feature to be highly degraded.
