SUMMARY
When right clicking on a mounted drive icon in Dolphins left panel choosing
properties of the mounted drive in the properties dialogue pop-up on the bottom
you get truthful information about the size of the drive and how much of it is
occupied by data.
But in the middle where the "Size" calculation takes place the numbers are way
off.
In my case it shows 10.3 TiB on a 2 TB drive (491.1 GiB of 1.8 TiB free, 74%
used).
I am pretty sure that the wrong calculation is due to NFS mounts to my NAS and
a "bind" Mount to a folder on a different disk. If I use the "Show in
Filelight" feature Filelight calculates and shows everything correctly.
This is confusing (and kind useless imho...).
My suggestion would be to either label the size as "accessible data inside the
mount point" or to show the same numbers as Filelight does accurately.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. right click on a mounted drive in Dolphins left panel area "Devices"
2. choose "Properties"
3. watch the numbers calculation run up and above the physical drive size
Unmounting all mounted storage with mount points within the path of the devices
own mount point shows the expected number and size of files on the device.
