Bug ID: 518126
Summary: Playlist/track position is not remembered after system
shutdown
Classification: Applications
Product: Elisa
Version First 25.08.3
Reported In:
Platform: NixOS
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
If Elisa is shut down as part of a full system shutdown, it does not remember
the currently playing track. The next time it starts, it will start playing
from the last time it "remembered" instead, losing progress made since then.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start playing a track/playlist, perhaps let it advance a few tracks further.
2. Shut down the system.
3. After reboot, reopen Elisa.
OBSERVED RESULT
Elisa starts playing from where it was before step 1, rather than where it was
at the time of the shutdown.
EXPECTED RESULT
It should remember its position, just like it does when manually closing the
program.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: NixOS 25.11 stable
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.20.0
Qt Version: 6.10.1
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Unsure if this only happens with particular conditions. It may only happen if
the playlist was paused at the time of the shutdown, haven't tested other
scenarios yet.
