Picture of a part of my artists list as it is now...

This really makes Elisa stand back - artists in the left pane should be sorted
by ALBUMRTISTSORT or ARTISTSORT and not just the ARTIST tag.

As is you get a alphabetical list of forenames repeating the same artist twenty
times as each addendum or suffix to the artist is treated like a new artist.
Additionally these featured names will be completely out of order depending on
the spelling out of "feautured" or "with" or "at"...

That's why the ARTISTSORT tag is used - you also never want to search in "T"
when looking for the Beatles, so the ARTISTSORT will likely be "Beatles" and
not "The Beatles ft. XYZ"

Drake feat. Abc
Drake feat. Dfe
Drake feat. Ghi
Drake featuring Aaa

There is an example as attachment...

Best option in my opinion would be to use ALBUMARTISTSORT as this is the tag
you get the artist assigned to a whole album. Otherwise you end up with a list
of thousands of artists that show up on one compilation somewhere - which is
typically not what you want to look for when navigating your library.

Why not have the additional option in settings for the Category shown in the
left pane (and the center list)?

Just add "Album Artist" to the three options and change the used tags
internally from "ARTIST" to "ARTISTSORT" and use "ALBUMARTISTSORT" for the
added category.

To make it really useful there could just be a "choose tag to show in the left
pane" and make the user choose!
There are so more useful options as for example "year of release"...

Thanks for reading!
