          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: night color

  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

On Bazzite-Nvidia-Open 43.20260326 with KDE version 6.6.3-1 the night light
leaves a faint pinkish-red glow on HDR blacks (which should be entirely black)
on an MSI MAG 273QP QD-OLED X24 oled monitor. The last known time Night Light
worked properly in HDR (blacks are fully black) was in
bazzite-nvidia-open:stable-43.20260217 with kde version 6.5.5-1. However, if
night light is turned off, blacks become truly black once again.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use an oled monitor with kde version 6.5.5-1 (perhaps bazzite) with hdr
turned on in display configuration
2. Observe blacks are correct
3. Update to bazzite 43.20260326 (latest) with hdr turned on in display config
4. Observe blacks have a pinkish red glow instead of being truly black.

OBSERVED RESULT

Pinkish-red glow on blacks in hdr mode with night light turned on.

EXPECTED RESULT

True blacks rather than pinkish red blacks. (less light emitted, resulting in
less eye strain)

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Bazzite-Nvidia-Open 43.20260326
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.3
KDE Frameworks Version: what is stock in Bazzite-Nvidia-Open 43.20260326
Qt Version: what is stock in Bazzite-Nvidia-Open 43.20260326

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Attached is a smartphone video attempting to document the behavior. The camera
is not as good as a human eye, but there is a faint red glow on all blacks. It
probably wouldnt show up on a screen recording?
