SUMMARY

The wifi signal icon is not reflecting the actual signal strength. I tested
this on a Lenovo L380 Yoga with an Intel AX210 wifi card. I installed cachyos
with cinnamon and KDE. On cinnamon, the icon reflects 3/3 bars at -45dBm signal
strength. On KDE, the icon only shows 3/4 bars at the same exact location also
with -45dBm. KDEs threshold between 3/4 and 2/4 bars seems to be -61dBm, where
cinnamon stays solid at 2/3 bars. Other reference devices (multiple iphones and
a galaxy s21 ultra) also showed good signal strength, mostly 2/3 or 3/4 bars.
After all of that I think, that the thresholds for showing the signal strength
in form of bars is not working properly.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. should be reproducible with any cachy/KDE laptop, at least with intel wifi
chips. I also faced the issue with an Intel AX200 chip. This issue can be
reproduced on any type of SSID. I tested with WPA2 Personel, WPA3 Personel and
WPA3 Enterprise.
