--- Comment #50 from uisiuis <[email protected]> ---
Still present on Plasma 6 / Wayland (Fedora 43)
Environment:
OS: Fedora 43
Plasma Version: 6.x
Session: Wayland
Keyboard Layout: French AZERTY (with and without Fcitx5)
Steps to reproduce:
Set keyboard layout to French AZERTY.
Open Kate and go to Configure Keyboard Shortcuts.
Attempt to assign or use the default Ctrl + / shortcut (Comment/Uncomment).
Press the physical keys for Ctrl and / (on AZERTY, the / character requires
holding Shift on the : key).
Actual behavior:
The shortcut recorder registers the input as Ctrl + Shift + :. The default Ctrl
+ / shortcut fails to trigger. To make it work, I must manually remap the
custom shortcut to Ctrl + Shift + :.
Expected behavior:
Pressing the physical keys for Ctrl + / on an AZERTY layout should be logically
interpreted as Ctrl + / by the application, matching the default shortcut.
