Workaround
The interwall setting can be changed from the applet qml script. Network
Monitor widget -
/usr/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.systemmonitor.net/contents/ui/Applet.qml
has line:
'interval: 2000'
The interwall is in milliseconds.
