Screenshot of Firefox. Left a regular tab, right the split view tab.
SUMMARY
When opening the split view, Dolphin keeps using a single tab for both splits.
It updates the tab's content, when choosing either of the split. I.e. it's
either < A > or < B >
I think a more obvious approach is what Firefox 149+ offers: They have a common
tab for both splits, so that it's directly clear that this tab contains a split
and which splits it contains. I.e. < A | B >.
The desired split can be chosen by clicking on either A or B. The current
active split is highlighted. If another tab is active, none of the splits are
highlighted but both names are shown.
This is of course a component not yet found in KDE Plasma elsewhere, but I
think it's worth considering if this could be incorporated too. I think this
would enhance the usability.
