Thanks, folks. Yep, definitely. Haven't really thought about it for a while, but constantly 'nothing happens'. Can walk away for hours, come back and screen is still on - not locked/not off. Meta-L locks the screen, and sometimes then sleeps, but not generally. Appears to be no ~/.config/kscreenlockerrc file, these days? Currently running X11 (have been using Teamviewer..), but fairly certain was also the case in Wayland - will test again. Latest Tumbleweed install (which included a whole new profile - didn't carry the user over), was a couple of months ago.
